12th Chemistry practical book answers pdf Maharashtra board

~(Mixture No. 1)

Basic Information Related to this Experiment:

1.What are acidic radicals?

An acid radical is the ionic part in an inorganic salt that comes from the acid during the neutralisation reaction. It is negatively charged and called an anion. An acid radical is mostly formed through the removal of a hydrogen ion from an acid.

2.What is confirmatory test in chemistry?

In a confirmatory test, each ion has a unique response to an added chemical, such as a solution color change or the formation of a precipitate. This unique response confirms the presence of that particular ion.

3. What are Crystalline salt, Amorphous salt and Hygroscopic salt?

Crystalline salt :salts with crystals shaped like cubes... for example sodium chloride or calcium fluoride.

Amorphous salt: Salts which are water insoluble.

Hygroscopic salt: Hygroscopic salt is one which is able to consistently attract water from its surroundings via adsorption or absorption.

Result:
